Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia, Salar de Atacama in Chile and Salar de Arizaro in Argentina contains over 45%of known global lithium reserves.
Three Indian companies Hindustan Copper (HCL), National Aluminum Company (NALCO) and Mineral Exploration Corp Ltd. (MECL) have gained the access of Lithium Triangle.
The access to these country’s lithium network is significant as the requirement of this strategic mineral is important for India as India has already set a target to achieve all-electric vehicles by 2030.
